teriskitchen.com/pasta/rice-a.html"Boil peas 2 to 3 minutes, or until just tender." "Boil broccoli in salted water for 4 to 7 minutes, or until crisp-tender." "Sauté mushrooms over high heat with butter, olive oil or a mixture of the two. As the mushrooms begin to cook, they will express liquid; continue to cook until the liquid is gone and the mushrooms are tender and golden." "Remove wilted or discolored outer leaves and discard." "Cook spinach the easy way by dropping it into a hot skillet with just the water that still clings to the leaves from washing. Fold the cooked spinach at the bottom of the pan over the uncooked leaves at the top. Keep adding leaves as the spinach cooks down. The spinach is cooked when the leaves are wilted completely but still bright green, which takes about 2 minutes. " OR "Once the water in the pot reaches a boil, add in the spinach. Only let the spinach cook for one minute, as anything over that will make it wilted. Set a timer if necessary. Once the spinach has cooked, use a metal strainer to separate it from the water." When making macaroni it's basically the same thing when it comes to boiling anything else but I have heard of baked macaroni. I just recently started to use the top of the stove. I found these directions on a website. I haven't tried them out yet but I'm going to, so I can make a whole dish because usually I'm used to eating everything separate from each other.
